About Likoa

A holding company built to last.

Likoa LLC was formed to own good businesses in the Pacific Northwest for a very long time. We invest our own capital, keep our structure simple, and measure success in decades.

Our purpose

Most small businesses in Oregon and Washington will change hands in the next decade as their founders retire. Many of those owners want more than the highest bid: they want continuity for their people, respect for what they built, and a buyer who will not sell again in three years.

Likoa exists to be that buyer. We hold a concentrated portfolio of businesses and real assets, and we are structured so that we never have to sell.

We buy businesses to own them, not to trade them.

How we operate

  • Permanent capital. Likoa invests from its own balance sheet. There are no outside limited partners, no fund life, and no forced exits.
  • Owner-level decisions. Our principals are the decision-makers. When you talk to Likoa, you are talking to the people who will sign.
  • Light-touch governance. We set direction, review results, and approve major capital decisions. Day-to-day operations stay with the management teams that know the business.
  • Regional focus. We concentrate on Oregon and Washington because proximity matters. We know the markets, the regulatory landscape, and the people.
  • Conservative balance sheet. We use leverage sparingly and keep each business financially independent of the others.

Ownership

Likoa is a Pacific Northwest family company. It is owned and directed by its founding family, whose members have backgrounds in operating businesses, technology, and investing in the region. We invest our own capital, and the people who make decisions are the people whose names are on the documents.

We keep a low profile by design. Our attention goes to the businesses we own, not to publicity, and we prefer to be judged by how those businesses are run.
